my son Ian is slow to wake up from his naps. so on the days i get to watch him, i go pick him up from his crib and he just cuddles on my shoulder for a good 5-10 minutes, then it's off to the next adventure. but for me those brief 5 minutes are the best part of my day.

yesterday i had the opportunity to speak at the INNOVATIVE IMAGEMAKERS CAMERA ROAD TRIP (check them out). i gave a short 30 minute discussion on working with couples. it was a fun group and the evening ended with a couple of the models trashing dresses for the photographers. Sade used her high school prom dress and we found some great spots for some unique shots a la DOLCE & GABBANA check out some of the images from the shoot.
some of my favorites from the evening.
another of my favorites.
always fun to shoot something a little different. |

i walked in to where the girls were getting ready and there she was...the bride...dancing around, telling jokes, she even did something called "tigers breath" (it's hard to explain) but it was fun and she was fun. though she said she was a touch nervous, she didn't show it and i have never seen a bride "stay in the moment" more than Sarah...amazing. upstairs, Steve was no different, laughing and joking with his dad and the rest of the guys. so the best way to describe this couple is "FULL OF LIFE" i had so much fun photographing this incredible couple and their families. a special thanks to LYNN TOWNSEND of DAVID LYNN PHOTOGRAPHY for helping me out in a huge way! such a great shooter! the wedding took place at THE BEAVER CREEK CHAPEL and the reception was at the amazing SADDLERIDGE RESORT
i love the way these two are looking at each other in this shot.
after the ceremony...a little tilt/shift was in order.
all the beautiful women.
i found the most amazing spot up in beaver creek. if you are a photographer and you ask real nice...i'll tell you where this is. : ) btw...how cute is this couple.
Sarah looking stunning in the next couple of images.
somet details from the reception. one of my favorite parts of Saddleridge is that every chair in the place is different...so awesome.
Sarah's brother is an amazing artist who works for Disney and he created these freaking cool bobble heads for the cake.
out the back door of the Saddleridge.
thanks guys, what a great wedding!

last week Charlene and i took Ian to the boulder county fair where he was able to experience a couple of firsts. first time petting a goat, first time eating cotton candy (he didn't like it) first time down the gunney sack slide with daddy. i love having a little boy, he is the best part of my life. looking forward to spending more time with him...tomorrow! : ) some photos from the day. mommy shows Ian the ferris wheel.
Ian's cool new kicks...hand me downs from the neighbor, but cool just the same.
here's Ian waiting to get on the train...he was so excited!
but he was more excited to actually ride it with mommy.
father and son. i heart Ian

Andrea and Andrew are just amazing people. when i arrived, they were both so relaxed and ready to enjoy the day. these two were so awesome and they experienced so much emotion throughout the day. it is always so enjoyable to watch and photograph two people who are so in love share these moments. they were married at THE SANCTUARY
