i met up with Alison and Luke a while back for this super fun engagement shoot. these two are so in love. Luke completely adores Alison and it shows. check it out.

one word describes this shoot with Caitlin and Jonathan TONSOFUN (tons of fun). they braved the cold a couple of weeks ago and ran around down town denver grabbing these images. they even ate gelato when it was 25 degrees out, that is dedication. i love this shoot thanks Caitlin and Jonathan for being so dang cute together.

i met up with Sydney and Chad this fall in Aspen. i don't know what it was about this shoot, was it the light? the location? the people? but from the moment i started making images, i knew it was going to be a good shoot. after further reflection and after reading JENNA WALKER'S BLOG POST ON CONNECTION this afternoon, i am conviced that it was the connection i had with this couple. i always tell my clients how important it is that our personalities are a good fit and i think this shoot proves my point. i remember Sydney teling me after the shoot, "you totally get who we are as a couple, i think you covered every aspect of our personalities." (i paraphrase). so again, if you are a couple looking for a photographer to photograph your wedding, be sure you find someone you can trust, someone you mesh with...it's kind of like taking applications for a new friend. believe me, it will make all the differnce.

Sydney & Chad, thank you for your trust and just being who you are. some of my favs from the day.

okay...so i have obviously been mia on this blog for quite some time, but i have some good excuses. for example, in the past 15 days i have had:

1 baby named Shaun (more on him later)

2 engagmeent sessions.

3 weddings

4 portrait sessions.

4 client meetings

5 trips to the airport to pick up/drop off family

10 or more prints come into the studio for hanging on the walls

100 diapers changed between the newborn and 2 year old.

so you can see i have been somewhat busy...now back to Jenn and David.

i met Jenn and David just a couple of days before their wedding, which will be coming to this blog very soon! Jenn and David were gracious, fun and adventurous...even running around in the rain for my camera. so without any more words, here are a few of my favs from their engagement shoot.

love this moment between them.

i'm getting back to my split panoramas.

on a cold and rainy easter, i met Kristin & Phil in downtown denver for their engagement session. when i told Kristin that i actually like shooting in the rain and any other bad (read interesting) weather, i'm not sure she beieved me. but i actually do like shooting in interesting weather...because i always get something unique in the images...anyway, back to Kristin and Phil. first of all these two were all personality and i didn't have do much coaxing to get a fun reaction out of them. we ran all over denver stomping in puddles, laughing, and lots of kissing...(them not me), we even snuck into the baseball stadium right after the end of the game. fun times had. can't wait for the wedding in august. here are some of my favorties.

puddles and kissing.

i love this series of photos...totally shows their personality as a couple.

i was shooting throught the holes in the sign for this one.
