i haven't mentioned it until now (i'm not the greatest at self-promotion), but this summer i was honored to be chosen as one of a select few in Colorado and across the country to be a part of their Little Black Book. in their own words: "Style Me Pretty’s Little Black Book is a highly edited collection of wedding service providers - from mom and pop boutiques to A-Listers. Personally recommended by our closest girlfriends, industry insiders and Style Me Pretty readers, there are three hand-picked listings per category. Brace yourself, though…it’s that good!" a huge congrats to Sarah and Joe! their gorgeous wedding at Devil's Thumb Ranch has been featured on the Little Black Book Blog CLICK HERE TO GO TO THE LITTLE BLACK BOOK BLOG again, a huge thanks to my good friend Jamee Pierzchala of Jamee Photography for helping me out at this wedding. you rock Jamee! here is one of my favorite shots of Sarah & Joe.
finally, if you have made it this far in this post, i wanted to share one of the most beautiful readings i have heard at a wedding. as a photographer, during the ceremony we are constantly on the go...like a ninja in the grass (i like that word picture) searching for our target, the right look, angle, the perfect moment and often times what is being said or sung or prayed often goes unnoticed. i remember this particular reading, standing in this gorgeous field in Colorado searching through the view finder and suddenly, my ears started to listen to the words being read, i remember slowly lowering my camera, to listen, to soak in these beautiful words about marriage. i don't think i shed tears (i wouldn't tell you even if i had), but i remember them imprinting their mark on my heart. read these words and you will understand the kind of people Sarah and Joe are, people to whom words are important and wedding vows are so much more than...words.
